1Lt. Thomas Morian, who left with Co. F and later returned to attend Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga. was sent to France in May 1944, where he was wounded in action and awarded the Purple Heart.
His brother, Sgt. Leon Morien a member of Co. F, 108th Inf. was wounded on 16 May 1945. He has seen action in many battles in the Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart.
