The Company F Memorial committee graciously accepted a significant donation from VFW Lincoln Post 1483 in Medina on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Several veterans of Lincoln Post 1483 assembled to present the check to committee chairman Bill Menz and secretary/treasurer Cathy Fox. This generous contribution along with a contribution from an anonymous donor allows the memorial committee to commission the sculptor to begin creating the statue. These significant contributions coincide with the 76th anniversary (pre-WWII) when the Boys of Company F were mustered into service and marched to the train station to embark on a journey that would deem them the “Greatest Generation”.
